Dr. Mustapha Yusha’u, is a doctor of Philosophy of Arabic Language. He was born on January 5, 1964 in Ringim Local Government of Jigawa State.
He attended Katutu Primary School between 1972 and 1979, and Arabic Teachers College Hadejia where he obtained his Grade II Teacher Certificate in 1984, from where he proceeded to Bayero University, Kano where he obtained his first degree, in 1990, Masters 1998 and Ph.D in 2006. in Arabic Language and Literature. And obtained his PGDE at FCE, Kano in 2014.
He started his teaching career as a Primary School and Secondary teacher, and subsequently transferred his service to Jigawa State College of Islamic and Legal Studies, Ringim, as an assistant lecturer, in the department of Languages. His status was intermittently raised to the rank of Chief Lecturer (the highest lecturer cadre). He had served as a Coordinator Summer Course Programme, Supervisor of the department of Languages and Dean School of General Studies.
He published many books and articles, and presented papers in various workshops and conferences. His works include prose, poetry and academics, prominent among are: Zabiya, Bahaushiya, the Arabic Abbrogates and Fundamentals of Arabic Studies (reading and writing are his hobby).
Dr. Mustapha Yusha’u is a member of the Association of Nigeria Authors (ANA), Ringim Youth Forum, Nasarawa Consultative Forum and a Patron to the initiative for Orphans and Less privileged Education Enhancement.
